This man, William Freeman Allen, did not marry Hannah Whaley. He married Sarah Brooks. William Freeman Allen has been conflated with William (no middle name) Allen, who married Hannah Whaley, and died in Troup County, Georgia in 1848. They had similar names, lived in the same state (but NOT the same county!), and died in the same year, but they are not the same man.
