Hi! My name is Connie Lamar Davis, I am in search of any family members from the Davis Family. I only have knowledge about my Grandfather Jessie Davis who was born in Fort Gaines, Georgia about 1900. His Father's name is Oscar Davis, date of birth unknown. He never left the Georgia area. Jessie's Mother name is Mahaley. I don't know her last name, but her date of birth would be about 1875. She left Fort Gaines with Jessie and moved to Shorterville, Alabama. She later Settled in Headland, Alabama. This is where my Grandfather, Jessie married my Grandmother, Anna Whatley. They had several children. One was my Father, Ernest Davis. Anna died at the age of 21 yoa. Jessie remarried Nellie Walker. My Father, Ernest married my Mom, Lillie B. Davis. Headland, Alabama is the place Iand 5 other siblings were born and raised. If anyone can help me track my Ancestors who were in the Fort Gaines, Georgia area, I would greatly appreciate it.
