John Ingram, of Northumberland County Cannot have been the son of John Ingram son of Hugh Ingram, II who died before Hugh Ingram wrote his will in 1612. See the document, attached, which names his children and grandchildren:

Among the children of the John who died before 1612 was a son John Ingram So theoretically, that man could have been the emigrant to Virginia. However, he had to have been born before 1612, and the emigrant’s birth date is estimated at about 1622. So, he does not seem very appropriate.

However, there is (yet another) John Ingram who seems logical and provable as a man born in England who came to Northumberland County, Virginia, and that is John Ingram brother of Robert Ingram, of Somerset County who settled in Somerset County, Maryland.

From https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ingram-9827 for Robert’s father Robert Ingram, of St Ives in Huntingdonshire

Family Possibilities: Son John may be the immigrant to Northumberland, Virginia and sailed at or near the same time as Joseph. Robert of Maryland, who immigrated a few years later, could have been the grandson, if not the son. Many believe Robert Ingram and Ann Saville are his parents, John Ingram is the grandfather, and Hugh Arthur Ingram, 'The Younger' is his great grandfather.

Feedback appreciated.

I'm worn out for the day, Erica, and have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. So it may be late tomorrow or Wednesday before I'll have time to check any of this. Plus, I'm still up to my eyeballs in Coloquhoun and MacAuselan connections as well. But I will get back on this, for sure.

MacAuselons are more important for you at the moment, I think. Im working on Ingram to try and unravel the DNA conflict.

I am certain the previous ancestry on Geni for the immigrant John is impossible, and other possibilities need more eyes on, with no rush.

Suggestion also for focus: Coloquhoun (Calhouns)) etc are enormous, that’s a nibble at a time. MacAuselons are much smaller and doable to nail.
