Mathias/Matthias Zimmerman (alias, Carpenter - after the Revolution he translated his name from German into English) was married to Elizabeth MUELLER (translated to "Miller") a daughter of Christian Mueller and Veronica, originally of Bucks Co PA. So - see his LWT and you will see daughter Elizabeth "Carpenter". Mathias was a Lutheran; Elizabeth was a Moravian. Mathias "Carpenter" and Elizabeth "Miller" had a daughter, Christina Carpenter who never married to my knowledge; she had a son, Andrew Carpenter (1839) by, supposedly a Waters or Walters; he married Mary Calhoun and came to Smyth, Washington and Russell Counties; among their children was Nancy Jane "Carpenter" who married David Broady... see info from Washington Co VA
