The Richard Chavis born abt. 1724 who had a wife named Lucrese (seen spelled various ways) was the son of Bartholomew Chavis, not WIlliam.

BUT the problem with that is that Geni has his wife Lucrese connected as a sister of that Richard
My thought on that is that the link shared above has more info and better documentation than the connections here on Geni, so in a toss up I'd have to go with the info on the linked site.
I'm trying to get these folks correctly connected in my personal tree. They're a paternal cousin line for my son. But I hit this bit of confusion on Richard and his wife and really could use some help from someone closer to the family connections to help document them here on Geni and make sure the connections are correct.
