directions for using Geni

While I have gone on this site a number of times, it would be really helpful to see an overview of how to best use it. My family has a long history in New Jersey ever since they arrived here in the 1700's. Where can I find instructions for Geni?

As far as I know there are no instructions, but there are a large number of help projects.
