It is an absolute pleasure to meet what I "think" would be my cousin if I'm not mistaken?

Queen Elizabeth is (was) my 9th cousin, according to Geni. Apparently Augustine Washington (George's father), was 2nd cousins to the Spencers.

How do we do that? How do we compare Gedmatch #'s? I have been off of this site for about 2 years now. Need to catch up on the latest.

William Wallace is a legendary cousin of ours. I'd be glad to converse with you. I believe I have to export my GEDCOM information first before we compare. There are several options... should I be choosing to export my "blood" relations? Need help in determining the best way to export that info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You had me at "hello" ... LOL ... You will have to explain this to me.. I know what centimorgans are, that's how much DNA we share... but the rest, phew! ... look at all those numbers : ) LOL.

fyi, I have made my GEDcom kit# public. I used to hide from social media, and the public... while I was working for the Dept. of Treasury.. because they told us to stay off social media. So, I sorta got used to being in the shadows. Well, now I'm a half a century old.. and I thought to myself, "why hide any longer?" ... so, please feel free to use the GEDcom number below to compare your kit with mine. Wow.. and you understand all that. You're a pretty sharp gal Polly : ) ... thank you so much for finding out our connection. My goal ... is to find out who Crinan The Thane's direct ancestors are.

The documentation gets fuzzy past him and his father. The only way I'm going to know, is if someone actually has Crinan's ancestry documented, or ... we find an ancient ancestor of him and they actually get a good DNA sample to compare. Rumor has it, that Crinan was a direct ancestor of the 181 Kings of Ireland. That's quite a stretch. I have no evidence to prove that yet though.

Mark you should read Nicholas Martiau the Adventurous Huguenot the Military Engineer and Earliest American Ancestor of George Washington Jan 1932.
