I ended up here trying to determine if this Walley line connects to the ones I'm related to on shared Strickland lines. A DNA match of mine on Ancestry is a descendant of Nancy (Walley) Evans. They have Nancy's parents as Gideon Sid Walley and Mary Ann Raynor. Ancestry has Gideon Sid Walley's parents as Gideon Walley and Mary Ann Gardner.
So when I got to this profile on Geni, first thing I noticed is that this Gideon's wife and mother are both listed as Mary Gardner, and I believe that's incorrect.
Other than that, the info in the tree and on Ancestry for this Gideon who was the son of Gideon Walley and Mary Ann Gardner are very different. Here on Geni, this Gideon shows:

So the differences here on Geni just result in confusion for me. I don't know if it's all connected correctly here on Geni because there aren't any profile notes or documents, but there are census records and other documents for the connections on Ancestry. So I thought I'd share this info so those of you managing these connections on Geni can review them to make sure they are correct and maybe put some notes in the profiles to validate the connections so others checking them out won't be confused like I am.
