Slovenia was once a part of Habsburg monarchy. Baptismal names were written or in Latin or in German or in Italian or in Hungarian language or mixed all of them, depending of the period in time. No one was called as it was written in baptismal book, because Slovenians in that time used Slovenian names instead of Latin, German, Italian or Hungarian baptismal name.

I use brackets in personal names and slashes in last names. Why? In the baptismal book (RK) the baptismal name is entered (different as the family actually called the person), e.g. Agnes Kozmuth (in Slovenian it is Neža Kocmut and Neža can't be "known as"), in the marriage book (PK) her name is Agnete, in the death book (MK) her name is again Agnes with her husband's surname Gregoretz (Gregorec in Slovenian). She married Michael Simonitsch (Mihael Simonič in Slovene) for the first time, and Florianus Gregoretsch (Florjan Gregorec in Slovenian) for the second time. As mother of her children Neža Kocmut was written Agnetis Kozmuth. The surnames of the children was written Gregoretsch, Gregoretz, Gregorez etc. So I use Slovenian surname before the slash and baptismal surname Gregorec/Gregoretsch, Gregorec/Gregoretz, Gregorec/Gregorez tec.

The visit card for Neža (Agnes, Agnete) Kocmut/Kozmuth, married Simonič/Simonitsch and Gregorec/Gregoretsch:
'''RK St. Urban - Destrnik''', p. 256: Kozmuth Agnes (parents: Kozmuth Jacobus + Lubez Marina): https://data.matricula-online.eu/sl/slovenia/maribor/sv-urban-destr...
'''PK Sv. Urban - Destrnik''', p. 32: Simonitsch Michael oo Kozmuth Agnete: https://data.matricula-online.eu/sl/slovenia/maribor/sv-urban-destr...
'''PK Sv. Urban - Destrnik''', p. 60: Gregoretsch Florianus oo Kozmuth Agnete, widow of Simonitsch Michael from Jiršovci: https://data.matricula-online.eu/sl/slovenia/maribor/sv-urban-destr...
"MK St. Urban - Destrnik''', p. 241: Gregoretz Agnes, b. Kozmuth: https://data.matricula-online.eu/sl/slovenia/maribor/sv-urban-destr...

I write down Neža, Mihael and Florjan as follows:
Neža (Agnes, Agnete) Kocmut/Kozmuth
Mihael (Michael) Simonič/Simonitsch
Florjan (Florianus) Gregorec/Gregoretz/Gregoretsch

All genealogical search engines successfully find all three persons, regardless of whether the name is written Neža or Agnes or Agnete and the surname Kocmut or Kozmuth.

I would like to hear your oppinion.
