This reflects that Robert Scott-Moncrief married Catherine Kandle, and were the parents of Adam. According to the genealogy book "House of Moncrieffe", Robert Scott-Moncrief was the son of Robert Scott-Moncrief (Sr) and Anne Wellwood. He later changed his name to Scott-Wellwood, and died without issue (no marriage, no children). And he never left Scotland. I believe Adam's father was a Robert Moncrief, but one that was born in the US, possibly NY, and was a descendant of the William & Mary Moncrief of Scotland.
