Elizabeth Burks (Unknown) - Revisions locked?

Are Geni profiles locked by other relatives/curators in such a way that another person's profile/family tree becomes unrevisable? I went to add new information and due to merges I get locked out from my relatives and cannot add/change/update information. Are certain curators allowed to override without consent? Seems wrong but I am still learning about this site. Not being able to edit my information feels wrong.

Since this is a curated profile, you will need a curator to make the corrections if they are part of a locked field.
Private User is the curator on the profile.
