What has been wrote, but not proven ,is that Mary's Mother Nancy (unknown for sure) Deakins was full Cherokee and belonged to the paint clan and married Henry A Miller. That would have made her 1/2 Cherokee in Decent . As GG Grandson, I have taken DNA Test and still trying to show Cherokee blood would be present, but has not as of yet
