Solomon Strickland - Same-Name Confusion

The info in the profile listing this Solomon as the son of David B. Strickland is wrong. This Solomon was the son of John aka John Mark Strickland and Martha Harris. People are confusing this Solomon with Simeon Solomon Strickland who was the son of David B. Strickland and Elizabeth Hunt and was married to Jennie Hale. They're related, but not the same men.

I'm a descendant of Simeon and Jennie but I also have DNA matches to descendants of Solomon and Julia because I'm related to Solomon on the Strickland lines and I'm also a Windham descendant.

Find-a-Grave has not got Simeon's mother as Martha Harris, which is wrong. Wiki has Simeon and this Solomon confused also. I've just spent some time posting the correct info on those sites and/or contacting the profile manager with the correct info in hopes to stop the perpetuation of the confusion between Simeon Strickland and this Solomon.

Aside from that, Simeon Solomon Strickland and Jennie Hale are my 4th great-grandparents. I'm a descendant of Viannie 'Ann' (Strickland) Carlisle and Alfred Decatur Carlisle, my 3rd great-grandparents. I've have had the Stricklands sorted in my tree for many, many years and collaborated with a descendant of Viannie's sister Patience (Strickland) DePriest and others to make certain the connections we have are correct.

The same-name menfolk in the Strickland lines have been the source of confusion for many years, but we need to correct the errors when we come across them so they don't continue to be copied into other trees and onto other sites.
