OK, I think I understand now.

Mary Shipley married Edward Broaddus.
Mary Broaddus He’s person # 1 in the Broaddus Book,

Their children included John Broaddus - person # 4 - who married Frances Broaddus They had 11 children, including John ll - person # 23.

The Shipp Book calls her MARY “Mollie”.

But that may be wrong, because Mary Shipp got married to Hughes Bowles on 12 Nov 1783.

And he died in 1809 in Kentucky. So she would have married again after 1809 and not 1783.

So I’m wondering if NANCY like the original book is more accurate and she really was a sister.

Separated out Mary Bowles of Goochland. The other Mary was of Caroline County.
