I question who is the Mary Nancy Shipp? She is not listed as a
child in the family history of President Truman at Truman's Library.
Children listed are: Richard, Gideon, Edmund, Ann, Lucy, Lemuel, John, Ewell, Martha and Frances.
I have not found her listed in any record for Thomas and Rachel Grant Shipp.
I posted to Mary Nancy Broaddus a record from the family history of the Broaddus
family. Mary Nancy maiden name is listed as SHIPLEY, NOT SHIPP.
ALSO POSTED WAS THE PAGE FROM THE TRUMAN LIBRARY THAT LIST THE
CHILDREN OF THOMAS SHIPP AND RACHEL GRANT, AND MARY NANCY'S NAME
IS NOT LISTED. THIS PAGE WAS DELETED BY SOMEONE.
Should we undo merges maybe so the wife of John Broaddus is different from the wife of Hughes Bowles?

He died after 1829 in Madison County.

The Shipp Book calls her MARY “Mollie”.

But that may be wrong, because Mary Shipp got married to Hughes Bowles on 12 Nov 1783.
"Virginia, Vital Records, 1715-1901", , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:68Y4-DV48 : Thu Oct 26 06:10:31 UTC 2023), Entry for Hughes Bowles and Mary Shipp, 12 Nov 1783.
And he died in 1809 in Kentucky. So she would have married again after 1809 and not 1783.
So I’m wondering if NANCY like the original book is more accurate and she really was a sister.
