There are repeated stories that James Brittain moved to VA with Simon Moon (and others), who married sisters. However, James married Mary Witty and Simon married Lauretha Lowry Humphrey. I have not been able to find a connection to prove or dis-prove the stories.
Is it possible that they were cousins or more distantly related?
