Identity of wife of John Farley Thompson.

In the 1758 will of Abraham Burton (1694-1758), of Amelia Co, VA, he names sons Peter, Abraham, Robert and Abel and daughters Elizabeth Tompson, Phebe Worsham and Mayson Burton. By 1767, sons Peter, Abraham and Robert are in Mecklenburg Co, VA. Looking through Amelia Co, VA Court Orders Books and Deeds and Mecklenburg Co, VA Court Orders Books and Deeds, we see a close relationship with John Farley Thompson and the BURTON sons, both in Amelia Co and in Mecklenburg Co. Then there are the following two citations, which show that the wife of John Farley Thompson was named Elizabeth.
Sep 1767: An indenture...John Farler Thompson to James Southall was acknowledged by the said John Farler and Elizabeth his wife...Recorded in Mechlenburg Co, VA Court Orders Book No. 1, page 424.

Could she be the Elizabeth Tompson, sister of Peter, Abraham, Robert and Abel Burton? Some researchers have assumed this to be true, though none seem to provide direct evidence. But the circumstantial evidence I have seen is quite compelling that Elizabeth Burton, daughter of Abraham Burton, of Amelia Co, was very likely the wife of John Farley Thompson.
