Other sites have the mother of this Samuel Morgan Sr. as Elizabeth Lloyd rather than Eleanor Ryan. Some mix the two up and have her as Eleanor Lloyd. Ancestry Hints has her as Eleanor Elizabeth Cooper Lloyd, as do some Ancestry trees.
That said, there's nothing in his profile notes to shed light on who is the correct mother for this Samuel. So I did some Googling and here's what I found:
Neither his Find-a-Grave nor his Wiki list any parents for him: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Morgan-6168 and https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/81554067/samuel-morgan
Family Search has his mother as Eleanor Lloyd: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LHG9-R3R/samuel-morgan-sr.-17...
We Relate has his mother as Eleanor Bryan Ryan: https://www.werelate.org/wiki/Family:James_Morgan_and_Eleanor_Ryan_...
This site also lists Eleanor Ryan Bryan as his mother: https://freepages.rootsweb.com/~sturnbo/folklore/files/morgan/mgng0...
This site is adamant that James Morgan from Bucks County PA isn't his father but doesn't mention his mother:
https://genfiles.com/morgan/samuel-morgan-1753-1833/
This last link mentions this Samuel being in New Jersey, not Pennsylvania. This other site makes the same references. I know they're referring to this Samuel Mogran because the wife Nancy Hill is mentioned on both pages. So that leads me to think that maybe this Samuel Morgan is connected to the wrong father and that's why people can't agree who his mother was. ?
Info on Ancestry is that the Samuel Morgan who married Nancy Hill was definitely from New Jersey, not Pennsylvania:
BIRTH ABT. 1753 • Morris County, New Jersey, Colonial America
DEATH 09 OCT 1833 • Homer, Franklin County, Georgia, USA
His bio on Ancestry states he was born in NJ but after the Revolutionary War was living about 1791 in Philadalphie, PA prior to moving his family to Georgia.
I don't know how accurate all that is, but there does seem to be indication that Nancy Hill's husband was born in New Jersey.
