Elizabeth Johnson was born in 1735 in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland and emigrated to America in 1754, arriving in Virginia. She married John Daniel Bagwell in 1756 in Halifax, North Carolina. They had six children in 16 years. She died in 1802 in Wake, North Carolina, at the age of 67.
