John Sumner - Additional Notes

John Sumner Jr., born 1705 in Old Nansemond County, Virginia and died in November 2, 1754 (or between Nov 1754 and Jan 1755) in Chowan County, North Carolina. Married to Bridget Sullivan, then Elizabeth Ruth Cross Blanchard. Vestryman 1738-42 and 1746-47; Justice of the Peace 1731 and 1734; Church Warden, clerk, St Paul Parish Chowan. He was granted 300 acres in Perquimans Co NC 1740. Purchased property in Edgecombe Co NC Jun 12,1746 and Birtie Co NC 1752.
