But it's a shame that you stop at J2, it doesn't mean much anymore.
J2 dates to about 30000 years ago.
How did you get the information that you are J-M172? Is it according to FTDNA?
If yes according to the STR results you can tell a lot more than that, but FTDNA doesn't tell you that.
Anyway, if you really want to trace the full migration path of your direct paternal line, and also find relatives (even distant ones) in the direct paternal line, the best thing to do is to do a BIG-Y 700 on FTDNA. (It's about $400, but worth a one-time investment)
