Disputed origins
A previous version of this profile for John Purchase, of Boston citing only an online family tree (dead link) that John Purchase was a son of Aquila Purchase and his wife [[Ann Oliver Ann Oliver] Ann Squire]. While they had two sons named John, both died young and there is no evidence of a third John who survived.

- John PURCHASE 2 was christened 3 Feb 1622 in Holy Trinity, Dorchester, Dorset, England. He died Sep 1627 in Dorchester, Dorset, England and was buried 24 Sep 1627 in Holy Trinity, Dorchester, Dorset, England.
If there’s any evidence for his parents, it is most welcome. But Aquila seems ruled out.
