James Linzey Chriscoe, Jr is the son of James Linzey Criscoe, Sr and Annie Jane. I am uncertain if they were slaves or free Blacks in North Carolina. Nancy Elizabeth and John adopted him and raised him as their own.

James Linzey had many children, but I cannot find that he married Margaret Chandler. All her children went by her name, except when Thomas and Christian were older.

Partner: Margaret Susanna Chandler 1858–1911

Thomas Emsley "Tom" Chriscoe 1878–1959
Mary Magdalene Chandler 1881–1966
James Aaron Chandler 1893–1935
Christian Louise Crisco Alias: Chandler 1894–1978

Wife: Annie Jane Sanford 1852–1879
Nancy Elisabeth "Lizzie" Chriscoe Brower 1872–1951
Louiza Chriscoe 1874–1880

I've documented all of these children further on ancestry but am not quite ready to move everyone over.

The children of Nancy and John will take me a bit to get to as I'm working up the tree, then down each generation and it's taking me a bit as I also cross check here to clean up on geni.

Leaving this here as documentation of what has been found so far.

Does anyone know where John and Nancy might be buried? I've not yet found any find a grave information or hints via other trees where they might have ended up. Also, were they Quakers?
