Lydia is listed with husband John Hinkle in 1850 Greenbrier, VA (WV) Census with children Nathan, Phillip, David W., and Barbara C.
Nathan's father was possibly a James Hanna of Greenbrier Co., VA...at least, according to some sources on Ancestry.Com World Trees. Am also searching for Nathan HANNA's ancestry. Was possibly a descendant of the Clan Hannay of Scotland (again, according to some Ancestry.Com World Trees).
Any help is appreciated!

Yes. Greenbrier County Marriage Records indicate that James Hannah and Nancy Gillilan were married on 4/29/1802 by Josiah Osborne.
Five of the 12 children of James Gillilan of Greenbrier married McCoys: Jane who married John McCoy 1789; Elizabeth who married James McCoy Jr. in 1799; Lydia who married David McCoy 1804; Robert who married Mary McCoy; and Sarah "Sally" who married William McCoy 1792 (all in Greenbrier). A daughter, Mary "Polly" married Andrew Edmiston in 1807, and another, Nancy Gililan, married first cousin James Hanna in 1802. Looking for descendants of these couples. of these couples.
We have children of a James Hannah who died in Greenbrier Co., WV Aft Mar 1825 as: William, John, David (I think that he went to Lycoming Co., PA), Nathaniel, Andrew, Jane, & Nancy. This came from "West Virginia Estate Settlements" by Ross B. Johnston (Gen. Pub. Co., Baltimore, 1977) p.106
True. The Mormon site does not list Capt. James William Hanna as a child of this Capt. James Hanna, II either. And it has at least 2 other James Hannas listed as living in the 1750 - 1825 timeframe in Greenbrier County, VA as well. That is why, if possible, I'd like to see the documents if possible. I've tracked my ancestry back to James Hanna at our courthouse and gone as far as I can go there, and am willing to travel to find earlier documents. But it seems the online genealogy is a confused jumble of overlapping/variable names that is nearly impossible to nail down with any certainty. (And I understand that from 1800 back is a crapshoot as to whether the documents ever existed at all, or if they survived until now.....)
