"In one of the editions of Lewis Patriarchs of Early VA & MD, Robert Lewis reported that this Richard Lewis (of John I) left the Eastern Shore of Virginia circa 1710 for North Carolina and married Deborah Bonner and had children Richard, Sarah, Deborah and John Lewis. In another edition of his book Robert Lewis shows he was possibily the same as Richard Lewis of Cecil Co, MD, who married Anna (-----) and had Richard Jr. of St. John's Manor, Cecil Co, MD and John, who married Martha (-----) and had John Jr. who married (H)Ester, daughter of John Pennington. However, since a John Lewis of Richard, age 15, was bound out in 1720 in Accomack Co, VA it seems more likely that this Richard Lewis did not leave Accomack Co, VA."
