Col. Richard Jones was the son of Richard and Amy Batte Jones.
He served in the Amelia County VA Militia, beginning in 1736; and he represented Amelia County in the House of Burgesses from 1734 to 1736.

Mother needs changed to Amy Battee, please, if FAG memorial is correct.
Wives need merged if applicable based on same: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/105939898/richard-jones; https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/106041380/margaret-jones
Thank you
Amy Jones is attached but is not an option in the parents relationship.
Who is responsible for the profiles, please?
The Discussion I started was January of two years ago.
And the relationships are locked so no spouse can be added either.
Stacked the merge: https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000064700577826?return=merge...
The About reflects the FAG which says three wives.
"son" Capt Richard Jones, III Richard is added January 2021 from FAG and says he served in the Revolutionary War
I don't think I have worked on these since then, but the issues are still outstanding.
I will step off again.

I can say this:
I see in Thomas Batte’s profile
1660 - Sometime before this year, Thomas Batte married a woman named Mary. They will have three daughters and a son.
I see

Amy Batte (m. Richard Jones, Sr.)* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Jan 9 2021, 18:52:16 UTC
BUT Amy Batte Jones was born 1666 so she’s from the 1st wife, right?
Her husband was Richard Jones (b 1660) (Son of Richard Jones and Martha)
And that’s who I see in notes and in the tree.
What needs fixing then?
The About should match the locked profile and the FAG may be incorrect but if this is known to be incorrect, the memorial manager can be alerted.
Right now the profile has issues since 2021 or longer
Managers cannot make corrections on a locked profile.
Even though the mother is listed as father's wife, she is not available in the drop down meaning it is locked for her.
These are same or similar named people and curated profiles.
I came to them again today because they were in my merge center and I was trying to empty out my requests.
As always, thank you for what youdo to help make the Big Tree correct, Erica Howton
It’s a cicsyphus kind of day
Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 - the thread title is “curator please help.” So I’m asking, how can I help? I’m not a descendant or researcher, either. And I don’t know what it is you’re seeing that a curator can help with, unless you tell me.
There’s a problem with the three wives listed at FindAGrave for Capt. Richard Jones
Supposedly he’s the son of (Peter Jones & Margaret).
But my curator note says that Amy Batte married Col Richard Jones (b 1660) (Son of Richard Jones and Martha).
So I have to presume the F.A.G. may be mixed up, which is very easy to do with the very confusing Jones families.
So my plan is to stay with the Master Profile values and locks, and clarify the “abouts” and curators notes.
Fair deal?
There was no 2nd wife for Thomas Batte, Sr.
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Batte-58#_note-Torrence
According to William Clayton Torrence, Thomas married twice, his second wife being called Amy, who had married three times before.[5] Weis says the same in The Magna Carta Sureties - he describes Amy as "widow of __Butler, Essex Bevill and Henry Kent."[17] Kathryn Gearhart confusingly and inaccurately states on a Wordpress site that Thomas "married Amy Butler, and then married two more times to Amy then Mary Randolph." No sourcing is given.[18] The suggestion that Thomas married an Amy appears to stem from a confusion with a Thomas Bott who married someone called Amy.[19]
