I saw it mentioned that John Doss' father Ambrose could possibly be a fictitious person. There are records showing Ambrosse Dawes born circa 1610-1620 and another Ambrosse Doss born in 1634. The records/sources have been provided at familysearch.org Have you any more information on Ambrose/Ambrosse? Thanks!
