His profile notes state:

Need proof of his parental connection. Per this link, it is highly unlikey he had Eure parentage:

https://www.ancestry.com/boards/thread.aspx?m=295&mv=flat&p...;

but that link doesn't work.

I'm interested in who his parents actually are because he is in the tree of one of my DNA matches on Ancestry who I'm trying to find how we're related. If this person isn't a Eure by birth, he's not related to me.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Biography

Death: "Jn: Ussery deceased ye 7th d of ffebruary 1687/88" as recorded in the Vestry Book of St. Paul's Parish of New Kent and St. James, Virginia.[1]

Research Notes

Ancestry.com or LDS ancestral files are fact-free. John Ussery most certainly did not have four names (John Thomas Richard /Ussery on Ancestry). It appears from the St. Paul's Vestry Book that his first name may acutally have been Jonathan Ussery. His wife may have been named Mary. Her ancestry is also suspect.

There is no evidence cited that John was born at 1640 in Belton, Lincolnshire, England.

Descent from the Knights Eure is ridiculous. There would be records and this is unfounded.

Disconnecting as son of Sir William Ralph Eure, KT. & Eleanor Eure & adjusting names as above.

Thanks, Erica.
