Dick, The information I have basically is :
Calvin Wiles b. 1825 Ashe Co., NC, d. 1908 Grayson Co., VA. He lived in the Quillen Ridge area of Grayson Co. in 1850, served in the Grayson Co. Militia (CSA) during the Civil War and is found living in the Rugby area of Grayson Co. in 1902. Married Celia Peak (1822-1908) of Grayson Co
Robert Alexander Wiles, s/o Calvin, moved to North Dakota in 1903.
Mother of Calvin was Elizabeth Wiles (b. c1800), father unknown. She was probably not married to Calvin's father. She married a Charles Adams (b. c1796 in Wilkes Co., NC) in 1835 at Wilkes Co. She had Calvin and 2 daughters (names unknown) when she married Adams. One daughter never married, the other married a Mr. Buttry andhad no children.
The parents of Elizabeth Wiles were Abraham Wiles(b. c1760 in Kent Co., DE, d. aft. 1837 in Wilkes Co., NC) and Willie Aulsbury (b. c1780 in Wilkes Co., d. bef. 1820, Wilkes Co.) They were married c1798 in Wilkes Co. Abraham Wiles was a veteran of the Am. Rev. War and first appears in Wilkes Co. in the 1810 census.
I would be glad to exchange information about this line, what do you have? John Repass, Roanoke, VA.
