I've been wracking my brain lately - should I do a blog? Should it be a series on YouTube? NO! Right HERE! So, come along, family members, as I introduce you to my latest Adventures in Family History . . . there's so much to do, and so much to tell you about! But please be patient, as I have ADD, so I tend to want to jump around from activity to activity. This discussion will help me to chronicle my progress, and keep me on course (MAYBE!), but perhaps more importantly, hopefully, it will lay a path for others to follow and build upon. Jump aboard anytime!
So, what projects am I working on now? First, there's the Ancestral Hometowns. I want to contact schools, NGOs, and other community groups in Iasi, Obeliai, Odessa, and establish contact with us - yeah, you, Kleins, Kushels, Marcuses, Pollacks, Shrabergs, and all the rest! I mean, imagine being a kid, in elementary school, and it's Show-and-Tell Day, and you have a letter from a pen-pal in Ukraine, in the city where your ancestor came from. Or, how'd you like to trade homestyle recipes with real Romanian? So, that's one thing.
Next, profiles. Digging deep. Anyone got pictures of the Shraberg junkyard? And what treasures might Connally-GPM provide? Rye Community Center? Camp Airy? And the stories . . . in fact, let's go do one now . . . yeah, hardcore ADD . . . ;)
