Isabel Marie Reynard was my maternal great aunt. Her younger sister, Francis Eleanor Mallernee was my grandmother, and she died when my mother was six months pregnant with me, so Aunt Marie was a surrogate grandmother to me. I spent many summers at her house, and I have cherished memories from those summers. Her granddaughter, Sherry Reynard is my first cousin once removed, but she is two or three years older than I. We enjoyed our childhood summers together.
