John Morgan Sawyers (Sawyer) - From my DNA match

Who is John Morgan Sawyers

We as of 2009 still wonder who John Morgan Sawyers is.Are we really Sawyers or is this some family that raised him?

John was born to Susann Wadkins in 1865.She was married to Morgan Howard who was killed in the civil war and had

three children by him.A couple of years after her death she had John.By 1870 census she is married to William Dobson.

The other three children are with her in several census after John was born but he is never with her again.She is listed

on his death certificate as his mother but no father is listed.John shows up as John Sawyers after he married Margaret

Adelia Messer and in census up until his death.He seems to have acquired several acres of land and left some to his

children.I have checked census with different last names for John Sawyers and have never came up with anything having

the same birthday as his.We thought it was interesting that Susann also named him Morgan after her first husband.We also

thought some other family may have raised him and he went by their name and when he was older he took the name of his

father.Someone out there knows something that would lead us to information about him.Please let us know.
