Y-DNA SNP and STR data PROVES that James Vincent was closely related to many earlier Vincent or Vinson families from Virginia and later in North Carolina.

The earliest known patrilineal (male-line) ancestor for these Vincent families, including James Vincent, was John Vincent who died in 1698, Virginia. The y-DNA data from all descendants links back to this John Vincent.

Moreover, y-DNA SNP Data proves that our patrilineal Vincent ancestors are descendants of a Viking man who landed in England during the Bronze Age. There is not relationship between our Vincent y-DNA SNP (I-FT75211) and France.

Note that SNP I-FT75211 is found in England during the Medieval Age and is the direct precursor for I-FTA19401, the y-DNA SNP (Haplogroup) of our Modern Vincent family.
