From Find a Grave, there is a picture of his gravestone - https://images.findagrave.com/photos/2022/135/82047383_bb2d6630-2ab.... Unfortunately, it only has "July 1800" as the date of death. It also says "aged 84 years." This would put his birth year as late 1715 or early 1716.
Since Salisbury VR (https://ma-vitalrecords.org/MA/Essex/Salisbury/aBirthsM.shtml) has his parents with a sister, "Elizabeth, d. John and Sarah, Apr. 30, 1716." Unless he was a twin, he was not born on that date.

One more issue - his father did not marry again, if he did, until after 1730 when Sarah passed.
Thus, Michael ‘Mikel’ Maxfield (born 1730) and Michael ‘Mikel’ Maxfield (born 1716) are likely the same person.
Any help in determining the correct parentage for Michael and his correct date of birth would be greatly appreciated.

No record of Michael's birth has been found, however his father's will clearly stated that Michael was the son of John. Michael's gravestone states that he died in July 1800, at the age of eighty years. This would place his birth between July 1715 and July 1716. As his sister, Elizabeth, was born in that time period, 30 April 1716, Elizabeth Wright speculated that he was "possibly a twin of Elizabeth." Other researchers have followed that speculation.
There weren’t two Michael sons in his father’s will, were there?
