Albemarle Co, VA Deed Bk 4 (1764-1768) pg. 410 MOORE to MOORE
This Indenture made the thirteenth day of August Anno Domini one Thousand seven hundred and sixty seven between JOHN MOORE of the County of Albemarle of the one part and JESSE MOORE of the same county of other part. Witnesseth that the said JOHN MOORE for Diverse good causes and Considerations thereunto moving but more especially for the valuable consideration of twenty pounds current money to him in hand paid by the said JESSE MOORE The Receipt he Doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied contented and payd Doth fully clearly and absolutely acquit excuse and discharge the said JESSE MOORE by these presents have bargained aliend expressed and confirmed and by these presents to Bargain sell assign --- and confirm unto the said JESSE MOORE to him and his heirs forever one tract or parcel of land lying and being on the north side Hardward River containing two hundred acres more or less with all the Houses, orchards, gardens, fences and appurtenances to the same belonging and being the land of JOHN MOORE and bounded as Followeth Beginning on a Sicamore tree at the mouth of the Middle Creek thence up said Creek according to its meanders thereof to a white Oak in the fork of said creek thence a new line to the back line thence up the said back line to positions the same line Contained to a corner Red Oak on Hardware River thence down the same according to the meanders to the first Station being part of four hundred acres of land that the said JOHN MOORE purchased of NOWEL BURTON to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises unto the said JESSE MOORE and to his forever and the said JOHN MOORE doth hereby covenant for himself and his heirs that he will warrant the same unto the said JESSE MOORE and to his heirs forever on Witness whereof The said JOHN MOORE hath hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
