I'm been trying to sort these guys out.

Right now I have two sorted out:

Pvt Daniel Secord, III married to Elinor Archer. Children: Warner, Daniel, John Susannah, Sarah, Rachel, Elinor, Nancy Ann, and James.

Daniel Secord married to Mary Archer and Abigail Fowler. Children: Mary, Jeremiah, Moses and maybe Daniel, Jonathan, and Margaret.

There is also a Nancy LeConte Secord with a Mary born 1744 and Judith born 1760 in the mixture, but does not appear to be the wife of either of these Daniel Secords. And Mary born 1744 is probably the daughter of Daniel Secord and Mary Aracher.

I welcome input. It appears there is a lot of confusion on the Internet and not perfect early 18th century records for this prolific family.

Ambroise Secord died about 1712. He left behind his 5 children. His son Daniel Secord, Sr. married a Dutch woman by the name of Catherine Secord and they had several children including Daniel Geraud Secord, II

Daniel Jr. married a woman of Huguenot extraction by the name of Catherine Secord They had 12 children including a girl named Mary "Marie" (Secord) Beebe Mary may have been a twin. Birth records are non-existant but Mary is believed to have been born in 1736 in Cortlandt Manor, Westchester county, New York. She is said to have been raised in New Rochelle.

There seems to be quite a bit of info that has been collected and nicely organized at this Maybee family website

(Catherine Secord was a Mabie/Mabee/Maybee)
