Consistency Check:William W Freeman is under 12 years old for the birth of his child Jesse Freeman.William W Freeman is under 12 years old for the birth of his child Minoah Freeman.Mary Freeman (Bryan) is under 12 years old for the birth of her child Jesse Freeman.Mary Freeman (Bryan) is under 12 years old for the birth of her child Minoah Freeman.

Someone also changed William Freemans parents and added a middle initial W that was never there before. Merrill Hill Mosher identified Williams Father as James Freeman who was the son of John Freeman the second who was in turn the son of John Freeman of Norfolk Virginia. The line should go John of Norfolk, John the second, James, and then this William.

You can actually view that page of the book here: https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000171744970175

I'm getting tired of people messing with this profile. I am a direct paternal descendant of this William Freeman. I have an easy to follow paper trail leading to this William. I have taken a big y test and am a confirmed descendant of John of Norfolk, VA. Can we please have a curator lock and protect this profile?

Pulled from the About because doesn't belong here:
William Freeman, of Gates County

According to the book John Freeman of Norfolk County, Virginia by Merrill Hill Mosher this is William's father

James Freeman, of Bertie County

Private User I hear ya!
The intent is to make the line a Q haplo but hopefully they are almost done?
The main thing is getting the family group correct and using sources to do that.

I have been disconnecting impossible children and a wrong wife and neatening up the Bio.

Is daughter Penelope Fincannon Mary Freeman or Priscilla Freeman 's?
DOB on the FAG note says 1788 which is just a year after Micajah Freeman, Sr and before the marriage of William and Mary in 1782 if these are correct

Both Penelope and Micajah were Pricillas children. They sued Mary for their part of the inheritance after William passed away. Mary tried to leave the whole estate to her children. For a while the descendants of Mary’s children who were active in genealogy did not recognize me cajah and Penelope as Williams's children. Then the records of the lawsuit were found and proved that they were William’s children from a previous marriage.

Williams's profile still needs to be connected to his real family. He was a great-grandson of John Freeman of Norfolk, VA. William was the son of a James Freeman who was the son of a John Freeman who was the second born son of John Freeman of Norfolk Virginia.

Private User share your Y study link please

Also, tag the profiles for the people you mention:
"He was a great-grandson of John Freeman of Norfolk, VA.
William was the son of a James Freeman who was the son of a
John Freeman who was the second born son of
John Freeman of Norfolk Virginia"

Are you saying he is NOT the son of William Freeman, of Gates County and Sarah Freeman
Or are you saying William Freeman, of Gates County has proven parents and needs disconnected from William Freeman, Jr. and Christian Freeman ?

John Freeman, of Norfolk VA him? John Freeman, of Norfolk VA

James Freeman James Freeman who was the son of a
John Freeman

Private User you shared with me:

John Freeman of Norfolk Virginia only had 3 sons whose names were William, John, and Thomas and John has been removed from his profile--
He's an English immigrant who has been proven at FTDNA to have a rare type of U106

I think this is the John that was smushed so many times and now is someone else.
We can add a profile for him rather than try to unmerge from the Q and other haplo folks.
And ask for a curator to assist.

Erica Howton please see

I have not added a profile for said John.
It needs to be done by a curator who can set the relationships per the Y DNA

I will continue to follow this Discussion.

Here is the link to the Freeman DNA project:

The John of Norfolk, VA group is in mint green and everyone in it has a European R1b U106 A2150 Y chromosome. All the Q haplogroup Freemans are at the the top of the results page.

Cynthia, you said: Are you saying he is NOT the son of William Freeman and Sarah Freeman
Or are you saying William Freeman has proven parents and needs disconnected from Fnu Freeman and Fnu Freeman ?

Yes I am saying that William ( William Freeman, of Missouri ) was not the son of of another William Freeman. He was the son James Freeman (whose profile I can't locate because someone either deleted or merged it somewhere else) who was born some time before 1729 because he was still a minor when his father John wrote his will that year. My James Freeman was John of Norfolk’s grandson. John of Norfolk had a son named

Continuing from my last post:

John of Norfolk had a son named John whose profile has also been deleted or merged. The profile for John of Norfolk is so divergent from the book that it's laughable.

My line goes from John of Norfolk
John Freeman, of Norfolk VA

To John of Norfolk's son who was also named John and whose profile has disappeared in the last 2 years.

To John Jr’s son James whose profile has also disappeared.

The book is pretty easy to follow and most of the lines in it pan out with modern research. John of Norfolk didn't have a son named James or one named Richard and he didn't have a daughter named Elizabeth (they belong to later generations).

Here are the profiles of his incorrect children:

Richard Freeman

James Freeman

Elizabeth Harmon

Merrill Hill Mosher only identified 3 sons belonging to John of Norfolk.

Mosher shows that John of Norfolk’s oldest son William had 6 Children. William’s children were named John, William, Thomas, Richard, Aron, and Samuel.

And that John of Norfolk’s second child John (my John) had 6 children also. Their names were John, James (my James here), Matthew, Hannah, Eddie, and Elizabeth.

And finally John of Norfolk’s youngest son Thomas had 3 sons. Their names were Thomas, John, and Samuel.

Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 when you get a chance go back and read through the previous conversations for William Freeman. William Freeman, of Missouri

This person: Private

And this person: Bellinda Gail Myrick-Barnett

Seem to be the main perpetrators for trying my make my line and John of Norfolk’s line N/A haplogroup Q. They have made most of the recent edits to their profiles in the last year or so. And the first person even tried to discredit my research in a previous discussion about Williams profile. Thankfully you were there to double check my research and show him he was wrong.

Is there any way that I can block these people from interacting with these profiles? I’m sick to death of their unskilled research and meddling in my profiles. Not to mention their complete disregard to the actual DNA results. I find it pretty pathetic that adults have to continue chasing genealogical fairy tales and this really annoys me.

Furthermore, I would like to add that Merrill Hill Mosher was a descendant of this particular Freeman family. And that she was an actual and reputable genealogist who studied the sources first hand for years in the North Carolina archives and actually published books! She wasn’t some phony internet genealogist who took https://sallysfamilyplace.com/john-freeman-hannah/ as a reputable source. I hate to sound so disrespectful. But it feels like the people who are monkeying around in my family tree are constantly spitting in my face. They have never read her book. Or if they did then they didn’t have the comprehension to follow or understand it. Instead they trust third, fourth, or even fifth hand sources blasted across the internet.

Red flags abound! 🚩🚩🚩Can anyone help?

Yes I am saying that William ( William Freeman ) was not the son of of another William Freeman. He was the son James Freeman (whose profile I can't locate because someone either deleted or merged it somewhere else) who was born some time before 1729

Disconnecting William Freeman, of Missouri from William Freeman, of Gates County and Sarah Freeman who has contradictory "info" on her profile--- I pulled her bio from the About and started a Discussion under HER profile.

DAR William Freeman, of Gates County has WRONG FAMILY!!!
None of his DAR proved children are on his profile...
This is a major catastophe.

Ok--- this DAR patriot now only has the DAR proved children attached.
I see elsewhere there is a different mother (Hannah) for Tyre and the consistency check says this Sarah as showing on her profile is too old to be his mother if he was born in 1790.
Consistency Check:Sarah Freeman (Unknown) is over 55 years old for the birth of her child Tyre Freeman.
Wikitree has him born 1749 as Sarah's son but he is seen in most public trees as being born 1790.
I have not researched him extensively but DAR gives him a wife and I merged with another profile who had that wife and this is where the birth year of 1790 for Tyre comes.
I added a marriage record for Tyre and wife Stoe.
I added a link to a Tyre Freeman Surry NC will and a Tyre Freeman Missouri will.
I have not researched them extensively. Just trying to get the DAR children and then the named 11 children for the two DIFFERENT William Freemen attached where they go per what was on the original profile(s).

William Freeman, of Missouri is ready for MP and relationship lock

William Freeman, of Gates County now has only DAR proved children attached to his profile and may need the rest if any to be added with sources

William Freeman, of Missouri needs to be connected to James Freeman, of Bertie County and profile for John Freeman, of Norfolk VA merged
https://www.geni.com/merge/compare/6000000000629204399
in order to bring in third son
John Freeman, of Chowan County

Done for the day.
I understand it is a week day and will need another few days to get these correct but we are almost there for Private User 's DNA line.

Thank you so much!
