He and his first wife had 2 sons; Jon and Halvor. He remarried in Oct 1809 to Kari Svensdatter. I haven't found if they had children or not, still searching.
He married Marthe Halvorsdatter 17 May 1798 in Stor Elvdal and she passed 19 Feb 1809. He then married Kare Svensdatter 22 Oct 1809.
In the 1801 Census, is it possible that Joen Olsen and Berit Ericsdatter are the parents of Joen Joensen/John Johnsen????
