This is the Charlie Brown the Cherokee legends are based around. Brown is the surname taken from his wife Nancy. My Emory family was very proud of their bonds to the Reese family. Charlie also has a very impressive story where he lead a war party across river with canoes to flank a group of Creek indians held up in a stockade.
