Charlotte was living with her daughter Harriett in Clinton, Oneida County when she died according to the newspaper clipping from Utica. The location of her burial is a mystery. The Clinton Historical Society could not find any information on her burial location nor for her husband Dennis 1777. Their son Dennis, , his wife, Diantha Shipman, and their son William are buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Clinton. According to information received from the cemetery, there is no record of either Charlotte or Dennis being buried. inSunset Hill. The Cemetery has another tombstone with the name Catlin but no information as to who is buried by this stone.
Dennis and Charlotte lived in Kirkland-Clinton from 1817. A check of the cemeteries in the area revealed none of their names. The same is true for Pittsfield, Ma where several relatives are buried.
Can anyone offer help in locating their resting place?
