These folks are my son's direct paternal ancestors. A good bit of resaerch has been done for years by family members and this:

has the correct info for this John Colvin Jeffcoat who was married to Laura Mary Ann Williamson and they were the parents of a son named John David who is well-documented. The dates here on Geni are incorrect for John Colvin. His correct info can be found at this profile that is connected to the wrong parents:
I've posted about this before and no one ever responded or tried to assist in getting the connections corrected.
My son's branch of the family, descendants of John David, have had large family reunions in the past and information was shared about the family history. My son's paternal aunt Helen (Ingram) Lott, now retired, used to write a weekly column fo rthe Laurel Leader-Call newspaper in Laurel, Mississippi and I have a copy of a lengthy articl she published 8/1/1989 in that newspaper regarding that year's reunion and some of the family history.
Additionally, I have a copy of the book "From Harleyville to Beulah Land," is a family history book published in 2012, that includes the family of Squire David Williamson and Susannah Livingston and their ancestors and descendants.It is 300 pages and includes pictures, charts, stories, and appendix, bibliography and index - which gets into the tie-in with the marriage of John Colvin Jeffcoat and Laura Mary Ann Williamson.
So based on the info from my son's marriage, the book that includes the connection between the Williamson and Jeffcoat families, and other research, I feel I have a good grasp of thse connections and believe that this John Colvin is correctly connected here but has the wrong dates, is missing his wife and children who are all connected on the other John Colvin Jeffcoat profile.
The misconnections cause my son's paternal lines on Geni to be incorrect, which is why I'd really like to get it all sorted out. Any assisstance would be greatly appreciated.
