Also, the Alexanders didn't immigrate till 1771, so any children born on this side of the pond prior to that date cannot be correct. John and Jane Peden Morton came over in 1768 and gave oath in 1769. The Alexanders came over in 1771 and the rest came over in 1772.

From the inbox:
Peden and James Alexander. Their daughter Elizabeth never married. And the NC Alexanders are different from the SC Alexanders. James and Mary got here about 1771, and got land near the Mortons.

Today:
Immediate Family:
Daughter of John Amos Peden, I and Margaret Peden (McDill)
Wife of Capt James Alexander, Sr.
Mother of Mary Peden Alexander; Thomas Alexander; Alexander Alexander, Sr.; Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Penland (Alexander); Nancy Elizabeth Hiett (Alexander); Maj John Alexander; Ebenezer Alexander, Sr; Joseph Alexander; James Alexander, Jr; Samuel Alexander; Margaret Edmiston Morton (Alexander); Jane Alexander; Catherine Eliza Dobbins (Alexander) and William Alexander« less
Sister of James Peden; John Peden, Jr; Jane Morton Morrow (Peden); Thomas Peden; William Peden; Elizabeth Gaston (Peden); Samuel Peden; Alexander Peden; David Peden and Mary "Polly" Finney (Peden)« less

What is the proof of John Peden's name a Amos? There is none, so can we lose it? It wasn't in Pedens of America or Pedens of South Carolina, and its not on his grave marker. The Alexanders did not get here untill about Oct 1771 when he applied for Bounty land which meant he came straight from Ireland.

In 10 May 1888 Cynthia Adaline wrote a short sketch stating the following, "Joseph never married, neither did Bettie. Jennie married James Peden, her cousin. They married and went to Kentucky and had two children. Peggy married a Morton, Katie married a Dobbins, Nancy married a Cooper, and Polly married a Gage." Pedens of South Carolina, page 70

Since this line of Alexanders didn't even arrive until 1771 when he was granted a 500 tract of land on the Tyger River near Thomas Peden and Jane Peden Morton who arrived in 1768, See Peden 4 at wikitree.

This person at Wikitree is researching the NC Alexanders. Alexander-15258.

There are no Penlands or Hiatts with any spelling in the PSC book. Pedens of South Carolina is published by the Peden/Paden Family Association of South Carolina, Inc.

I also have a deed of conveyance dated 10 Aug 1798 from James Alexander to Andrew Cooper, witnessed by John Alexander and Wm Gaston. I asked Mark Paden if this Andrew Cooper could have been Nancy's husband. He and the other researchers were aware of the deed, but couldn't be certain.

If John, the eldest son, was b. about 1754 in Ireland, how could Elizabeth be born in 175? in North Carolina? The first child b. in South Carolina was Catherine in 18 May 1775. Margaret aka Peggy, was b. 1765, in Ireland, she m. John Morton Jr, son of John Morton and Jane Peden Morton Morrow. John is on the passenger list of the James and Mary in 1768.

Remember also, Both Peden books have the chapters on the children, set as Houses. There is only one daughter named Mary. There is no Finney or Phinney in the book at all.

Cynthia Adeline was William's daughter. She m. a Shannon.

There is no son named Ebenezer either. There is no Ebenezer Alexander at all.

Scoll up, I've posted the Alexander children previously.

BUT!!! With their FS and WT ids.

Lynette Jester as a PRO account Geni user, you can disconnect these incorrect children
Anyone effected can add sources and ask for them to be added back.

Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 Thank you. Sometime I just need permission. And just because I have a pro account doesn't mean anything.

Only a PRO user can disconnect so yes, it means a LOT.

I went through the children, adding some of the documentation above and references to FamilySearch ... and disconnected a couple who were not documented as their children.

The MP flag is set on all those children, so it should be easy to identify newly added children (and thus either merge or disconnect).

Thank
You so much for this, Dan Cornett
