(or Yehuda LEIB) . I believe he was from Belarus.
He married Reiny (Ronya).

BTW, I have a 2nd cousin who married into the Schereschevsky family. Her married name is Schery because her husband's family shortened the name from Schereschevsky to Schery. Her husband Joe Schery's parents were Victor Schereschefsky and Fanny Waldman. Victor and Fanny also had a daughter named Minnie, and MInnie's daughter has a tree on Ancestry.com. According to that tree, her grandfather Victor Schereschevsky, was the son of Yehuda Leib Schereschevsky, although I'm not sure what the source is for that information.

What I do know is that this particular Victor Schereschevsky was born in Lutsk, Poland on 12/23/1894 and married in Lutsk in November of 1918. MInnie was born in Lutsk, and Joseph was born in Hartford, CT.

Private User and Private User, I just thought I'd mention this in case either of your Schereschevsky ancestors came from Lutz, or had any connection to Hartford, CT. There may not be any connection, but you never know.

So, now I've found the Victor Schery/Schereschevsky that I mentioned earlier:

What is interesting here is that he was a Schereshevsky who was married to a Waldman (i.e. Fanny Waldman), and the Bunya Katzenellenbogen mentioned above was married 1st to a Schereschevsky (i.e. Leibl), and then to a Waldman (i.e. Zorach Zvi Hirsh). Perhaps these two Schereschevsky/Waldman connections may be more than coincidence.
