Joseph could no have been born in 1639 if his mother was Jane. She died on 5 Aug 1637.

The only mention I see for this Joseph Wheldon is here:

10. Joseph Whelden (c.1628 - 1683) ?? not listed among the baptisms in Basford.

So I think he’s an “internet legend” and I’m disconnecting from parents.
