This is probably a duplicate of Martha Venable who is the daughter of Nathaniel Davis, of Hanover and Mary Elizabeth Davis (Hughes)
Apparently the Nathaniels are smushed again at Wikitree.
There, she is seen as the daughter of Robert Nathaniel Davis and Abadiah (Lewis) Davis but it has been pretty much proven that Abadiah is her aunt and not her mother.
This has been discussed many times over and while I love seeing Abadiah as grandmother at Wikitree, I do believe the FamilySearch user who provided sources for Robert as brother rather than father.

No action requested at this time.
Just an FYI
Thank you.

Life Sketch

Several prominent genealogists and prolific authors, such as Lyon Gardiner Tyler, who served as the 17th president of the College of William & Mary, have stated that Martha Davis (1702-1765) was a daughter of NATHANIEL DAVIS and the sister of ROBERT Davis (NOT a daughter of Robert Davis). Please see the sources attached.

Martha Davis married Abraham Venable about 1723. Following the naming convention of the time, note that Martha and Abraham named one of their sons “Nathaniel” after her father. Martha and Abraham had many sons, but none were named “Robert,” which would have been highly unusual if her father had been Robert Davis.

This is a direct for me so I am of course interested in getting and keeping it correct.
I have DNA confirmed my maternal connection.

There have been many discussions here and elsewhere.

Just trying to stay on top of them
:)
