Joseph Crowshaw’s daughter married Robert Blackwell. So just cousins to me. I know very little on Blackwell lines.

You should contact the organization, using the email address that they provide, etc., and ask them your questions. They may be able to guide you on how to get more information. I read some of the stories that are written on the website about the original slaves from Africa and they seem to have had freedom to move around. One was a popular preacher.
It is rumored that one of the songs of James Glenn Blackwell had children with a slave and he moved away after that. The details are not known, yet.
