Hrolf has two sets of parents connected and the info in his profile is confusing because it shows him born abt. 700 in Ireland and born abt. 762 in Norway by the name of Hrolf Solgasson. Clearly those are the same person.

The Fabpedigree link lists Ingjaldur FRODASON as his father but no mother is listed. Nor is his wife listed.

Is there better documentation and clarification for his name, his dates, his parentage and his wife?

Thanks in advance for any additional information.

Debbie, there are no trustworthy sources about family relationships among the people living in northern Europe during the 8th century. So there are no better documentation or clarifications for any information about persons living in Scandinavia this far back in time.

We do have sources on this one, Landnámabók, and these profiles should reflect that source even if you classify them as reliable or not.

Wrong parents are cut off.

The saga sources never contain dates, - if you see some they are just fabricated in modern time, so you should just ignore them and eventually inconsistencies there .
