I have been running into some most confusing information in regards to Tobias Hendricks, Sr. (1680-1739) and his very large family.
He was a son of Albertus Hendricks (1641-1718) and Aelte "Alice" Helchey (1645-1714).
Since they are in one of my direct family lines, I have been attempting to locate enough valid information that will help everyone to understand those family connections.
Today, I ran across a DNA study that might be helpful to any of you who are also searching for answers that just seem to be elusive:

For all of you DNA gurus out there, there is a link to follow this ongoing study on the above mentioned site. The results are promising & encouraging in that there were indeed many people with the same names & not necessarily related in the PA area during that time frame and the DNA study explains all of that.
