Kind of a long shot but I am wondering if anyone knows where the Catholic Church Book from 1885 Vrbovec in Zagreb County is kept. I found the record I need online in the scanned pages from the book, but I need to order an official copy of it and I'm not sure where to begin. Thanks for any help!

Still hoping the Vatican will cough up complete works of Tacitus- Roman historian re 1st century AD who observed the black Picts in Scotland and Ireland

Hello, you could write and ask the Mayor of Vrbovec, Denis Kralj, where the documents (birth records) are kept. Good luck!

I believe book that contains the year of 1885 was just recently sent to Archdiocese archive in Zagreb. You can email them at srazum@arhiv.hr .

Oh my goodness, thank you all so much for those leads!

On this page you will find the church book from Vrgorac that you are looking for: https://www.familysearch.org/en/

Here is a direct link to Croatia, Church Books, 1516-1994-Roman Catholic (Rimokatolička crkva) Vrbovec- Births (Rođeni) 1878-1895, but I don't think it will work because you have to be registered to be able to view the records.

Hello all, I tracked the record down to an archive in Bjelovar and have ordered a copy. Thank you for the help!
