This Matthew Thornton has been confused with another Matthew Thornton. Francis Sylvester and Emily's father was Mathew Thornton 1838 Appling County. Family Tradition is that he died in Macon County.... NOT Kentucky. Also, Florence Amburn was NEVER this Mathew's wife.... ever. Not being from Illinois. I will post a source for the correct Mathew Thornton.
