impossible merges

GENI keeps on sending me merges that include private and open profiles.
I cannot merge them.

Time to stop that and take from me all the profiles I could not merge till today.

Dear Curators - find one of you that can deal with that.

GENI - stop sending me impossible merges.

Take a closer look: at the bottom of every mail from Geni there should be a link "Unsubscribe from this type of email "

Bjorn P. Brox: these are not emails. They are profiles placed in m merge section.

A Hebrew-English able curator could be ideal.

I was assuming that the private profiles you are talking about are of people born within the last 150 years.

Any profiles of people born after 1872, which are private, can only be merged by their managers.

Now, if the private profiles are of people born before 1872, you can go over to the pinned thread asking for curator help, and ask a curator to look at them. Very occasionally we can’t make the older profiles public, but usually we can.

When in that list make sure you have check-marked My Relatives on the top left to reduce the list to merges within your own family.

Anne Brennen: One profile is from the 18th century. (a very distant relative).

Other relatives profile merges DO NOT OBEY my instructions. So should not be in my MERGE area. The matter was in GENI's hands a few years ago, and no one resolved them. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEM ANYMORE.

Bjorn: relatives profiles managed by me ALONE, have no problem. But trying to merge with another which is private, etc. do not work.
GENI team did not solve the non-mergibles problem.

Solution: remove those from my MERGE CENTER.
